Easing his way precariously down into the water, the young man swims out to the bedraggled pooch and scoops him up and makes his way back to the ramparts of the bridge. The spectators were delighted with the performance and we were lucky enough to get the proceedings on camera, courtesy of one of the spectators in the group. Just another great example of a young man stepping up to the plate when all seemed lost.

The tearful owner of the dog was overcome with emotion as her beloved pet is transferred from the water by the young Sir Galahad into her waiting arms. On getting back up onto the bridge the young man checked the dog out and said "Zer dog is ok and vill be fine." The lady responded " Are you a vet? He replied
