Toowoomba lies 130 klms West of Brisbane on The Great Dividing Range and is the second largest inland City in Australia. Famous for its Carnival of Flowers held every September and home of The Australian Gospel Music Festival held at Easter. The City has a Military Museum and a Pioneer Village.

The Sunshine Coast, stretching from Caloundra in the South, to Noosa Heads in the North has a wealth of interesting locations to visit. The Hinterland is dotted with small towns with multitudes of antique shops and The Glass House Mountains as a magnificent backdrop. The Bundaberg Region is famous for its Rum Distillery, Mon Repos Beach where the Turtle Rookeries abound in the season between November and March and the small town of 1770 where Captain Cook made his first stop on his way North on his ship The Endeavour.

Rockhampton sits on The Tropic of Capricorn and is the Beef Capital of Australia. Plenty of historical architecture in the City and The Board Walk has nice views towards the city. The Dreamtime Cultural Centre is the largest of its kind in Australia. The Capricorn Caves are just North of the City.
Mackay is the Sugar Capital and has a Heritage Walk in the City Centre. Several nice sandy beaches close to the City and The Eungella National Park is home to The Broken River where visitors can see the famous Duck Billed Platypus.
The Whitsundays is a tropical paradise with the small town of Airlie Beach being the ideal accommodation base for visitors wishing to see the Great Barrier Reef or visit The Islands. There are also half a dozen or so Backpacker Accommodations in the area.

Townsville is Queenslands largest Tropical City and home to The HQ. of The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority. The Reef Headquarters has a tropical aquarium with a walk through viewing tunnel. Castle town Shopping World is the second largest retail centre in Australia. The Strand is a magnificent area with Tropical Parks, Rockpools, a water park and BBQ areas.
Cairns has an International Airport and is a gateway to The Great Barrier Reef. Close to Port Douglas and The Daintree Rainforest, Cairns is an ideal northern base with the added attractions of Kuranda and The Atherton Tablelands close by.
Charters Towers is the closest Outback experience from the coast, being only a 2 hour drive from Townsville. This is a great City with numerous historical buildings and relics from the past.

Far North Qld.

Port Douglas is an hours drive north of Cairns and home to The Rainforest Habitat and Harttley's Crocodile Farm. A small town where you can lay back and relax or take a cruise to see crocodiles in their natural surrounds.
Cooktown is 300 klms north and the inland road is fully sealed the whole way. Trips further north require 4 wheel drive capability as roads are not sealed and are quite rough.

Oprah met Elvis the koala at The Hamilton Island Zoo on Wednesday 8th December 2010. The Queen of Talkshows said she would be telling everyone the Whitsundays is better than any description in a book or a magazine and declared "Oh my God its so Beautiful".
Oprah drove around the island in her own buggy and later hosted a party on Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island with a number of invited guests.
She later retired to spend the night in the exclusive private Beach House Accommodation at The Qualia Resort on Hamilton Island.
